FAQ
Why StickerWise
We’re a family-owned shop in New York, and we print and cut every order ourselves — no middlemen, no outsourcing.
- Made in-house. Printed on an Epson SureColor S8170 and die-cut on a Graphtec cutter, by us, in our own shop.
- Years of vinyl experience. We came up printing and cutting vinyl for vehicle wraps, so color accuracy and clean cuts are second nature.
- See it before you buy. Our design preview shows your sticker with your border before checkout, and you can request a manual proof anytime.
- Free file help. Need a background removed or a file fixed? Our team does it for free.
- Bubble-free application. All of our materials use air-release vinyl, so stickers go on smooth every time.
- Fast turnaround. Same-business-day production, next business day shipping, free UPS Ground over $100.
- Real people. Email or call and you’ll reach one of us, not a ticket queue.
Ordering
How do I place an order?
Choose your sticker style, size, finish, and quantity, then upload your artwork. Our design preview opens so you can set your border thickness and border color. Check “I approve this design” before checkout and we’ll print your stickers the same business day. Or select “I request a manual proof” and leave a note — you’ll receive your proof within 4–8 hours, and we’ll print as soon as you approve it.
What’s the minimum order?
20 stickers. You can order up to 10,000, and the price per sticker drops as the quantity goes up.
Can I order a size or quantity that isn’t listed?
Yes. Email stickers@stickerwiseus.com or call 516-817-5888 and we’ll put together a quote.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Contact us right away. We can cancel for a full refund if printing hasn’t started. Once production begins, we can’t change or cancel the order.
Artwork
What file types do you accept?
PNG, JPG, PDF, AI, and SVG. A high-resolution file with a transparent background works best. See our artwork guide for tips.
Do I need to add bleed or a cut line?
No. Our design preview creates the cut line automatically, and you choose the border thickness and color.
What resolution should my artwork be?
300 DPI at the size you’re ordering gives the sharpest result. If your design looks blurry on screen, it will look blurry printed. Only have a low-resolution file? Request a manual proof and we’ll let you know what we can do with it.
My image has a background. Can you remove it?
Yes, for free. Upload your file, select “I request a manual proof,” and let us know in the note. We’ll remove the background and send you a proof within 4–8 hours.
What if my file needs a small fix?
We’ll fix it for free. Request a manual proof, tell us what you need in the note, and we’ll take care of it before printing.
Why does my design look different on chrome, holographic, or glitter?
Those finishes get their shine from the material, not from ink. We print your colors directly onto the foil, so white and very light areas show the chrome, rainbow, or sparkle instead of printing white. That’s what creates the effect, but it does mean pastels and light greys come out lighter than they look on screen, with the finish showing through.
Bold colors and dark outlines look best on specialty stock. If your artwork needs solid white areas printed exactly as designed, go with vinyl. If you’re unsure, request a manual proof and we’ll show you how it will look before printing.
How does artwork look on reflective stickers?
Reflective works a little differently. The reflective layer sits under your design, so light and bright colors reflect the most, and white or unprinted areas reflect brightest of all. Dark colors and heavy, full-coverage designs still reflect, just less. Reflective stickers are made for visibility and style and are not certified safety or DOT-compliant markings.
Can you cut my sticker to any shape?
Yes. We die-cut to the outline of your design, so circles, squares, lettering, mascots, and irregular shapes are all fine.
Will my colors print exactly as they look on my screen?
Very close, but not identical. Screens emit light and print reflects it, so small shifts are normal, especially with neons and deep blues. Minor variation in color and cut position isn’t considered a defect.
Finishes
What’s the difference between gloss and matte?
Gloss is shiny and makes colors pop. Matte is smooth and glare-free, with a softer look.
What are holographic, glitter, chrome, and reflective?
Holographic has a rainbow shimmer that shifts as it moves through the light. Glitter has a sparkling, textured surface. Chrome has a mirror-like metallic finish, and your colors pick up a subtle shine from the chrome underneath. Reflective looks like a normal full-color sticker by day and bounces light back brightly when headlights, a flashlight, or a camera flash hit it at night. See our finish comparison guide.
Which finish should I choose?
Vinyl is the everyday workhorse for logos and packaging, and the right pick when your design has white areas that need to print white. Holographic and chrome suit premium branding and merch. Glitter is popular for parties, beauty, and craft projects. Reflective is made for bikes, helmets, hard hats, work trucks, and anything that should stand out at night. Bold shapes and strong outlines show off the specialty finishes best; very fine text reads most clearly on vinyl.
Durability
Are your stickers waterproof and dishwasher safe?
Yes to both! Every sticker is printed on premium vinyl and then laminated in matte or gloss, so it’s waterproof and dishwasher safe.
Can I use them outdoors?
Yes. They’re built to last 3–5 years outdoors and work on water bottles, laptops, coolers, equipment, and car windows. Like any printed vinyl, colors will fade faster with constant direct sunlight.
How do I apply them?
Clean and dry the surface first, peel the sticker from its backing, and smooth it down from the center outward. All of our materials use air-release vinyl with tiny channels in the adhesive, so any trapped air presses right out — no bubbles. Finish by pressing firmly around the edges. See our full application guide for tips on bottles, laptops, and cars.
Can they be removed?
They’re made to stay put, but they can be peeled off. On delicate surfaces like painted walls or old paint, removal may leave residue.
Shipping
How fast will I get my order?
If you approve your design before checkout, your order is produced the same business day and ships the next business day. If you request a manual proof, you’ll receive it within 4–8 hours and production starts once you approve it. Orders placed on weekends or holidays are produced the next business day. Delivery time after that depends on the shipping method you pick at checkout.
What does shipping cost?
UPS Ground is $7.99, and free on orders of $100 or more. UPS 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air are available at checkout at live UPS rates.
Do you ship outside the United States?
Not right now. We ship within the US only.
How do I track my order?
You’ll get a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships.
Problems and returns
What if my stickers arrive damaged or misprinted?
We’ll reprint them at no cost or refund you. Email us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the issue.
Can I return an order I simply changed my mind about?
Custom stickers are made to order and can’t be resold, so we can’t accept returns for change of mind or for an approved design that turned out differently than you pictured. See our Refund policy for full details.

Do you offer bulk pricing?
